Description

Hand embroidered cushion. Back cover of bright yellow cotton broadcloth- front topped with matching yellow embroidery on natural linen [may be pineapple cloth], over yellow cotton sateen. Fabric has been hem stitiched into 2 1/2" squares - seven across and six down - corners done in eyelet; centres done in circles of fine back stitch; over this, eight loose threads to form spokes - these threads have been 'whipped' as far as end of circles, then loose until tied to end of square - effect is a 'spider's web'.
