Description

"Barbie" doll, soft vinyl, with heavy blonde back braid hairstyle, costumed in hand-made late Victorian riding habit made of dark blue nubbed, knitted fabric. Jacket with shaped waist, leg-o'-mutton sleeves, navy blue twill fabric rolled lapels and gold buttons. Matching dark blue vest with gold buttons. White lace blouse, cuffs and jabot, held in place with gold brooch. Long, very full, softly-pleated skirt with black synthetic full petticoat, trimmed with dark blue lace tiered over white lace. Stiffened, crocheted top hat has wide dark blue synthetic satin hat band and fine black tulle veil and back bow. Stiffened, crocheted riding boots with heels. Black riding crop attached to [doll's] right wrist.
