[20200729 Jones, I] This doll is now dressed in a dress, jacket and bonnet that recalls the fashion of the mid-19 Century. The outfit has been custom made and has a label "A/Lulu Creation" . ["Lulu" is thought to refer to Louise Osselton]. Dress, jacket and bonnet are all made from different areas of a heavy polyester (?) satin twill fabric, dark blue with a wide band of ombre medium blue with the centre of this band having regularly-space square jacquard motifs centred with an eight-pointed flower with yellow and orange accents. Dress finished with dark blue knife pleated silk ruffle. The jacket features the medium blue areas of the fabric, ivory lace sleeve ruffles and jabot, the bonnet is from the dark blue fabric and has an ivory net pleated ruffle around the the opening and a ruched trim of the blue silk fabric covering the join of the net to the brim. Dress has label "L.H. 995.001", jacket, "L.H. 995.002" and bonnet "L.H. 995.003". These number do not appear to apply to the Sidney Museum.Acquisition
