Black plastic electrical cord attaches at back, and has unpolarised NEMA 1 plug, with stamped ‘spring-action’, and below, "patented U.S.A." b) Black plastic egg-shaped base with rounded contours. Wide end has circular indented area with metal fittings to receive a removable circular revolving platform, which turns smoothly on ball bearings. Another hole to side of previous hole appears to be used for attaching attachments sold separately [which we do not have] such as a meat-grinder/food chopper, and slicer and shredder (see page 36 of book j). Smaller end of base has attached white, enamelled metal, curved, inverted horn-shaped stand for attaching mixer. At top of stand is a black enameled trigger, which is pulled downward to attach or release mixer. At small end of base is a lever with two-part, circular, flattened black plastic knob. This can be moved to two settings: “SMALL” or “LARGE”, which turns stand to position beaters closest to edge of different sized bowls. c) Revolving platform. Black, circular, hard-plastic revolving platform. Consists of five concentric circles, three raised, two indented, to fit different sized bowls without bowls moving out of place when revolving platform is in use. Centre of bottom has round metal peg, which fits into central metal hole in base [b]. Beside peg is “7” and four leaf clover mark, with a letter on each leaf: “CHPC” [last C is backwards]. d) Juice extractor bowl. White glass. Attaches to top of mixer. Hole in centre where reamer attaches. Downward pointing spout off centre. Narrow shelf inside of bowl near bottom for strainer has a flange which fits into the notch of the metal strainer to prevent strainer from moving when in use. e) Juice extractor reamer. Off-white moulded ceramic eight ridged cone. Metal rod attached to underside attaches to mixer. Brown protective washer on rod fits into centre on strainer preventing reamer from rubbing against strainer. Underside of reamer has pattern of "V"'s around edge. f) Round aluminum juicer strainer with circular holes, raised lip with notch fits into shelf in juice extractor bowl. g) Juice spout. Ivory coloured plastic spout designed to fit onto end of juice extractor bowl and drain into a bowl below mixer. [see remarks] h) Large white glass bowl. Small integral handles flare out from edge on each side, spout between handles facilitates easier pouring of contents. i) Small white glass bowl with spout. j) Beater. Four rounded modified conical, blades [or vanes] attach to metal shaft. Nylon button at bottom touches bottom of bowl when mixing, causing bowl to rotate on revolving platform in opposite direction to beaters to mix all contents of bowl evenly. Attaches to mixer on side closest to edge of bowl. Metal flange about mid-way on shaft with two spaced ridges above shaft. Proximal end of shaft has cross notches where it attaches to mixer. k) Beater. Four rectangular blades with rounded corners. Attaches to mixer on side furthest from edge of bowl. Metal flange about mid-way on shaft. l) Paperback Book: “HOW To Get The Most Out of Your Sunbeam Mixmaster"
