Irregular granite rock. Smooth--no sharp edges. Numerous pit marks (shallow) all over. Unidentified stain on bottom, black drip mark. Unidentifed rush coloured mark on top right side. Mount (rectangular platform with carpet) built by Tom Groves Sept., 1987. Millstone (granite). This was used to roll the oats at the Brackman-Ker mill. It was originally brought from Scotland as a ballast in a boat. The stones were placed in a large bin which rotated. The stones rolled over the oats flattening them and producing "rolled oats".
