Rectangular hand towel of white fabric (evenweave fabric, probably linen).
There is a slight "slub" in fabric. Short ends of towel have had a pink border added by machine. Border colour is deeper at one end. At deeper-coloured end, white fabric has been embroidered with a basket and floral design. Done with stranded embroidery cotton in pale blue, pale green, golden yellow and peach-pink. Embroidery techniques include Stem Stitch, Satin Stitch, French Knots and Lazy-Daisy Stitch.Acquisition
