Description

A metal weighing pan , tin, oval plaque "John Chatillon/& Sons/Makers No 85 to 93 Cliffs', N.Y.". "47895" serial number. Scoop shape: one flattened side, three attached chains. Spring balance scale, metal with brass plate stamped with "FAMILY SCALE" in "4, 8, 12, 16 20 and 25 [pounds ??] and manufacturer information, including patent dates of January 6, 1891 and January 26,1892. Black paint on reverse, large wire hook on bottom. Twine loop attached to hanging ring on top.
