Metal (bent into shape not cast) with fiber wick. Metal scratched but in fair shape; unused wick. Singer was filled with kerosene or coal oil; the wick was set on fire and the horse combed in order to remove it's winter coat. The horse's long winter coat was burnt off so he would not become over heated when working. If the heavy winter hair was not removed the work horse may have died of heat exhaustion.Acquisition
