Description

Young male's jodhpurs [see remarks and references], unused, made of black [possibly very dark navy blue] wool duffel [duffle]. Upper edge faced with bias-cut, inexpensive, sized white cotton fabric [pieced from cotton plain weave and cotton twill], turned over and topstitched, to form waistband. Waistband closed with white metal stud fastener. Two black japan-finished suspender buttons on each side of front waistline and one similar button on each back waistline. Six self-fabric belt loops. Set-in pocket in each side seam with loosely-woven natural cotton pocket bags. Fly front with steel zipper, tab marked: "ACME". Front knee areas have a patch of black fabric-backed, "pigskin leather textured" plastic applied. Slit in lower side seam closed with four pairs of black eyelets and black shoe lace. Lower edges finished with machine serging. Welt pocket in [wearer's] right back hip area. Seat reinforced with applied self fabric. Heavy paper printed tag with red-printed frame, sewn to [wearer's] left back waistband, reads: "SUPERIOR/302//Style/Size 26 Waist 26//4013/BRAND". Pencilled on tag is "3.50" as a price.
