Description

Portable Kerosene (or paraffin) heater, manufactured in U.K. Has a red and black handle, a large "caged" reflector and a chrome plated kerosene container with pump and "on and off" handle. [Jones. I. 20220922] The manufacturer's decal on the back of the reflector has an incomplete manufacturer's name but it is thought to be : "TILLEY" and the Model is "MODEL/R 1A". The logo for "British Standard" appears, as well as: "APPROVED TO BRITISH STANDARD BS 3300" . Other use information also appears on this label. Possibly early 1950's.
