Circular metal tin - metal probably tin. Painted with yellow and black decoration. Waxed paper liner in top of lid. Lid decorated reads "BDC GIN Pills for the Kidneys Trade Mark Registered". Side of base reads "40 pills, these pills are recommended for lame back, irritation of the kidneys or bladder, bed wetting, mucus deposits in the urine. National Drug and Chemical Company of Canada Ltd., Montreal, Canada, Propietary Articles Department.". Base of the box reads "Gin pills for the kidneys No. 5611. the proprietary or Patent Medicine Act. Take one or two pills four times a day, before or after meals, and at bed-time. Prenez une on deux pilules quatre fois par jour avant ou a pres chaque repas et au coucher. Gin Pills contain three - eighths of a gram in Methylene blue per maximum adult dose.
