Note: This donation consists of a sampler book (53 examples) and 64 loose pieces of lace examples. (MISSING LOOSE PIECES) If any of these 64 pieces are to be displayed, they should be individually labelled for identification.
Sampler book, made of four pieces of glazed dark medium blue cotton broadcloth-type fabric, folded and centre-sewn to form eight "pages". Book contains 53 examples. Front and back "covers" are "blank", and the remaining pages have from two to eight examples per page. Examples represent several types of crochet edgings and motifs, including those which use a commercial braid [sometimes called "Coronation Braid"] as a base.Acquisition
