Oval-shaped drawstring pouch bag made of black cotton velveteen. [This style of bag used to be known as a “Dorothy bag”]. Lined with black rayon plain weave fabric. Front and back hand bead- embroidered in angled lazy stitch with essentially the same design of two stylized six-petalled flowers, in opaque medium blue lustred glass seed beads, each flower centred with a silver sequin surrounded by six lustred pearl coloured glass seed bead stamens. These flowers are joined together on a stem, created of royal blue lustred translucent glass seed beads, and midway along the stem, on each side, is a bud, created from the medium blue and pearl beads, with a silver sequin at the centre of each bud and calyx. The stem finishes with stylized line “leaves” at bottom. Above the upper line of stitching for the drawstring casing, on both sides, is a zig-zag border in royal blue beads, with a pearl bead in each peak or valley of the border. Fine, twisted black cord drawstring.
