Full length white cotton broadcloth nightgown with hand crocheted yoke and sleeves. Fabric portion made from two selvedge-to-selvedge widths seamed at the sides. Filet crochet yoke and sleeves. It is presumed that the three-button/buttonhole placket opening is the front, but that is to be determined. Front/back yokes made from continuous strip of filet crochet with spaced, large “ivy” leaf motifs, forming a “V” neckline when joined to fabric. Presumed back yoke has triangular filet crochet “modesty” piece inserted in this opening. Shaped filet crochet sleeves with same motifs attached. Pink silk satin ribbon run through crochet around neckline. Fabric is closely gathered and hand stitched to yokes.Acquisition
