Off-white tam o'shanter style hat made of sewn-together narrow artificial straw braid. Narrow navy blue grosgrain ribbon hatband forms small bow at centre back. Front underbrim of artificial straw braid fabric, trimmed with navy blue grosgrain ribbon, with ends formed into a bow held in place with a straw loop. Navy blue grosgrain ribbon sweatband with maker [or retailer] label -- "EATON'S/OF CANADA". Slight traces of wearer's make-up around centre underbrim. Victoria Costume Museum dates this as 1960's.
