Metal end, wood board. Used by loggers when chopping down large trees. A wedge shaped chunk was chopped into the side of a tree trunk, the springboard was inserted into the wedge. The logger stood on it while chopping the tree. Metal edge which fit into tree has curved end which would cut into wood and hold it in place.Acquisition
