Description

a) Blue suede manicure case lined with pale blue silk. It has a blue and gold ribbon running across the inside which holds an 8-piece manicure set. The case folds in three and closes with a snap fastener making it look like a spectacle case. Underneath the snap fastener is printed "Premier/GENUINE/LEATHER". b) Nail buffer with a "French Ivory" top and a wooden base covered with suede leather, held in place by a fine band of ivory. c) Emery boards d) Buttonhook with an amber celluloid handle. The two flat surfaces are "French Ivory", the shaft and hook are steel and it ends in a hook. It is used to pull the buttons on "high button shoes" through the button holes. e) Cuticle trimmer. "French ivory" and amber-coloured celluloid handle, with a short steel shank which curves down to a small cutting blade used to trim cuticles. f) Small pair of steel nail scissors with curved tips. g) Small steel cuticle clippers with short curved blades. There is a long, slightly curved spring between the two handles. Cut into on one side:"...mcut", perhaps "Tremcut" h) Small, ivory and celluloid nail cleaner with a sharp point. Used For cleaning under nails. i) Long-handled French ivory corn/callus knife with a short curved steel blade.
