Black and white plastic matchbook case, containing book of matches. Case has RCAF badge stamped in gold on black front, which is hinged. Case back is white [yellowed] plastic, stamped "Made in U.S.A. Pat. 1985751". Case closes with two-part snap-together fastening. Inside is a book of matches. On the cover is an illustration, in blue and red of a woman in a wedge cap and blouse, wearing a red apron with a white maple leaf and "Miss Canada" under it. She holds sheets of stamps in each hand. The text reads: "Buy/War Savings Stamps". On the top of the matchbook is "Don't Forget". Similar information and illustration on reverse of matchbook, but cannot be verified because removal could damage artifact.Acquisition
