Description

a) Needle case for child - paper folder, illustrations in colour. Cover: "doll hospital" with girl pushing a buggy; back cover: pincushion with "COMPLIMENTS OF WALTER WALKER & SONS LTD - VICTORIA" etc. Inside illustration of girls sewing and mending - pop-out figures. Green holder for needles; needles; needle threader missing; opens from bottom. b) "SEWING SUSAN" - "85 GOLD EYE NEEDLES WITH THREADER" - paper folder for holding needles. Front and back cover have the same illustration : four (4) seated women - second from left has right arm raised and is holding threaded needle, spool on table, to "eye" thread length. In colour. Folder has one scallop on each side edge. Six (6) coloured foil inserts for needles - with needles. Purple foil threader - no threader; dark blue background. Made in Japan.
