Description

Carved wooden needle holder, [alternatively, needle case]; cap a), case b), "minaret"-shaped. b) Circular pedestal base [with triangular section broken away], carved with chip edge and raised radiating central pattern. Ring-turned, cylindrical holder has foliate carving between the three rings. a) truncated cone cap, darker brown than the case body, carved with expanded reeding. Large central opening [is a finial missing?]. Cap friction fits over central holder area, to meet lip of holder.
