Description

Sewing basket-rectangular shape, of wood with basketry work on outside. Unknown plant material has been braided and then interwoven between slats of wood. Some of this material has been dyed and is now quite faded--a design is visible horizontally around outside (stripe formed). Base of wood, also lid and side supports. Inside lined with pink fabric, inside edges of base and lid. Cord holds lid from falling backwards (opens just over 90 angle).
