Description

017.050.004 a-b Pen Nib box for “Geo. W. Hughes/ 12o/321 M” Total of 118 pen nibs in box with “WHITE HORSE/GEOWHUGHES/BIRMINGHAM/ENGLAND/12M” Imprinted into each nib with a stylized image of a horse head. According to the back of the box these pens were originally known as 'White Swan' but because this name was used by others, the name was changed to 'White Horse' reflecting the White Horse carved into the hillside at Uffington [Sic]. 017.050.004 a Box lid 017.050.004 b bottom of box
