Description

Records say photo is of Charles and William Reay ca. 1850 (photo looks much later.) Frame is leather exterior (originally purple in colour with gold line on geometric pattern which runs horizontally across side opening "book" frame. Interior is (now) brown velvet with stulling on left hand side, right has gold edged frame holding photograph of two young boys aged approximately 13-15 years. Both have suits, bow ties and large watch chains. Seated one has arm about other's shoulders. Copy of photo 16.51cm by 20.32cm ? Original 7.62cm by 10.16cm. Note photgraph cannot be removed without damaging frame.
