b ) Pince-nez and a) case.
b) Pince-nez with light blue tinted lenses. Lenses are small, rounded elliptical, set in very narrow matte silver-coloured metal frames. The bridge-nosepiece is formed from one piece of the same metal as the frames; bridge has unusual shape of an elongated, narrow ellipse, open at the lower edge, with the bottom of each ellipse end touching the top of lens frame below, The opening ends of the bridge ellipse continue to form the nosepieces, which have fine ridging to grasp the nose. A metal tab is attached with a tiny screw at the lower right side of the right lens and a fine black cord is threaded through the hole in the tab end. A similar screw, in a similar position on left lens.
a) Plastic envelope case, presumably for clip-on glasses, but not necessarily the pince-nez that came in it. Case is elongated hexagonal shaped. Glasses held in place by a strip of blue pearl. Case has 'Made in France' on clear plastic edge.Acquisition
