Description

Small postal scale, modified cubic grey plastic housing for weighing mechanism; square, grey enamel-finished metal weighing platform stamped: "NOT LEGAL/FOR TRADE". Square white dial with red needle. Several circular scales printed in black, measuring weight [0-4 pounds, by 1/2 ounce] and costs for printed matter, domestic and U.S.A. air mail, first class mail and local mail. Dial indicating costs for local mail has been updated in pencil for the first 1/4 ounce. Central dial area has text block reading in part: "Pelouze/Evanston, Illinois, U.S.A./Model ZC-4-2/Rates Effective 4-1-54 …. Canadian Postal Rates/Letters all other countries/6 [cents sign] first ounce/ …./ [copyright symbol] 1954 Made in U.S.A."
