Description

Large, elliptical brass box, hinged lid with thumb lift. Lid has finely etched all-over pattern of leafing scrolls and ogees which has been filled in with black enamel to pick out the pattern. Lid edge has continuous single flower motif border. Box has continuous leafing S-scroll pattern. Both lid and upper and lower edges of box finished with a narrow bead motif border. Box interior is shiny.
