Description

Wooden moulding plane with stock and wedge of unknown hardwood and cutting iron of unknown metal. Cutting edge of plane is hollow and therefore would cut a round in wood. Markings: name of owner "B.Sellars" stamped on stock and wedge. Makers name: Fairclough Liverpool (1849-1880 British Planemakers from 1700; C.E.Goodman p.116) and "8" is stamped on one end.
