Saw-set, made of wood and iron

Main part of tool made from one piece of wood shaped into a thick, curved handle with a large, square notch cut into the distal end. The notch becomes a tapering groove on the upper side of the handle. Pivoting in the notch is slightly curved iron handle made of squared iron rod, which has a point in the middle area of the end. Upward movement of this handle is very restricted. Distal end finished with a thick brass plate, attached to wooden handle, leaving a narrow space. This plate matches the shape of the wooden section and extends onto the wood to form a soleplate. Attached with five large brass screws that are set flush with the soleplate. Outside of brass plate has very large screw that holds an hexagonal-shaped iron disc on the inside.. The short point of the iron handle hits on the lower edge of the disc.Acquisition
