Description

Cylindrical metal tin with cream coloured painted background with pale blue, Royal blue and red writing on front. "Burns' Bakeasy Brand Shortening Net 2 lbs weight. Burns & Co. Limited. Canada." The tin bears the circular stamp with the crown inside it which indicates that the food product contained in the tin is an animal product. "CANADA est APPROVED 23" (The number identifies the manufacturing company). On the back of the tin is a outline label area [so that the the tin could be reused as a canister] and faint handwritten "LE …" within it.
