Northern Electric wall mount telephone
The body of it is a wood box measuring 7.5 " x 6", it has 2 metal round bells on the top. The corner edges are dove tailed. On the side of the box is a black metal latch to hang the receiver on, (this latch moves freely up and down) The black receiver is heavy plastic (could be backlite) It measures 9" long from the ear part to the speaking part. It is clearly marked on the hand part of it Northern Electric company, Made in Canada. Front of the box, opens up to reveal the inner works. This phone likely manufactured in the 1930’s or 40’s
[Wooden wall-mount housing. Black ringer on top. Black bakelite phone. Black Bakelite crank on side. Phone hangs from metal cradle painted black on side opposite crank. Model N717AH. In Raised lettering on inside of phone handle "Northern Electric/ COMPANY LIMITED/ PATENTED 1922 1923 RD 1935/ FI/ MADE IN CANADA".
