Wood frame [ash] tennis racquet, presumably made in Australia, by the Oliver Racquet Co. Ltd. Synthetic gut stringing. Synthetic and leather [?] wrapped handle. Frame has varnished finish and several decals and labels. A small, circular decal on one side of the shoulder reads: "Hardened/Shoulder". On the opposite side of shoulder is another, unreadable decal. On one side of handle shaft is a decal:"Frame Made From/Finest Imported Ash". On oppposite side is a decal: "Oliver Racquet [sic] Co. Ltd" and below that, a silver adhesive label: "Medium 4 3/8". Head has decal: "Oliver" and in the same position on reverse, a decal which is unreadable but may be the model name. On one side of area where shaft and head join is a partial decal of a green stylized arrow [thought to be the company's logo], with a superimposed "Leo Seguin" in blue and other information now destroyed. Along the shaft on this side was probably more information. On the other side of shaft/head join is another green arrow decal with a small coronet above a stylized, streamlined bird in a high diving position, with "Olivers" in red below it. Along the shaft on this side is a partial decal: "Used by/Austra …..". The butt cap is black with silver "Oliver, three diagonal lines and a star"Acquisition
