"The Army and Navy Needle Book" - a flat folder which opens out; inside on left are 4 packets of needles - 1) "Superior" Sharps # 1/5 - contains 5 needles partially wrapped in foil; 2) #5 - 4 neeedles, partially wrapped; 3) #3 - empty; ) #1 - 2 needles partially wrapped. On right side is a piece of folded black paper which has needle holes in it. The folder is made of thin cardboard, white, with a picture of a battleship on the front and an eagle on the back - both in colour. The folder is green inside with gold edging and the words "Silver Steel" over the needle packets and "hardened in oil" below, "Made in Japan" is on the back, and "Japan" on needle packets 1, 2 & 4.
