Description

Large white china bowl for washing. (Has matching jug, 1976.20.415). Molded pattern on outside and two large, blue underglaze poppy motifs and two smaller poppy motifs on inside and two similar, small motifs on outside bowl. Bowl is round with slightly flared sides and a partially everted rim. Manufacturer's blue trademark logo: "GRIMWADE/SHINA/STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND", with a blue "G" within a white six-pointed star, on a blue background and below, "ALLIANCE" [presumably the pattern name]. Also on base "13"
