Notes

Silsbee Texas was a struggling sawmill camp. John Kirby extended his railway line to Silsbee and the Santa Fe Railroad took notice. in 1901, the Santa Fe extended its branch line from Cleveland to Beaumont and selected Silsbee as its division point.
