Description

The syrup was held in an elevated vessel so as to allow for gravity flow to the filling table. A sight glass with a screen strainer, called a syrup soy, is at rye level in the supply line.

Use

Antique 10 gallon crock with wooden platform. A spigot at the bottom which appears to be an intake near the bottom. There is a float device. It has a gray glaze, marked 10 in blue. Union Stoneware, Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. 1920-1930s
