ThecPrice Family operated the Dixie Queen across from the current Post Office. It was a popular hangout for kids after school. They are 19 cent hamburgers, malts, and drank cokes. A second Fixie Wueen opened on Highway 327 during the 1970’s with dine in eating and table top juke boxes.
