Organization formed February 4, 1937 in Texas. The concerns were the moral and social conditions of the nation in Politics. Members were invitation only. The Jefferson Society of Texas, which its sponsors hope, to make a dominant force in the Democratic party in the state, was formed at the Jefferson Day dinner here last night with the awarding of 25 honorary life memberships in the newly chartered society.
