The poster promotes the Formula One 1960 IX Grande Prémio de Portugal (9th Portuguese Grand Prix), held on August 13–14 at the Circuito Internacional do Porto. The event included multiple categories: Taça Cidade do Porto – Turismo (City of Porto Cup – Touring Cars), Taça Secret. Nac. Informação – Grande Turismo (National Information Secretariat Cup – Grand Touring), and Taça Gov. Civil do Porto – Sport (Porto Civil Government Cup – Sports Cars). Organized by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP). Jack Brabham won the race, with Bruce McLaren and Jim Clark taking second and third. It was the first time Clark finished on the podium in Formula One.
