The Alfa Romeo Historical Museum, officially inaugurated on 18 December 1976, was founded by Giuseppe Luraghi (then president of Alfa Romeo) and Gaetano Cortesi, and is located in Arese, near Milan. Known as the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo or “La macchina del tempo” (“The Time Machine”), it houses a permanent collection of over 250 cars and 150 engines, including prototypes, racing legends, and production models that trace the marque’s history back to its 1910 origins.
