Scope and Content

The Callaway C12 is a limited‑production American supercar built from 1998 to 2001, with only 20 units produced. Developed by Callaway Cars in partnership with IVM Automotive in Germany, the C12 was based on the C5 Corvette, but unlike earlier Callaway projects, it featured entirely new bodywork designed by Paul Deutschman. Power came from modified versions of the Corvette’s 5.7‑liter LS1 or 6.2‑liter LS6 V8 engines, paired with a 6‑speed manual transmission. With its ultra‑wide stance (just under the 2‑meter GT2 limit) and bespoke suspension, the C12 delivered near‑200‑mph performance and handling that rivaled European exotics of its era.
