Scope and Content

This poster for Ford v Ferrari (2019) distills the film’s focus on character and machinery by placing Matt Damon and Christian Bale—standing in quiet confidence beside a blue Ford GT40—against the backdrop of a grandstand brimming with flags and anticipation. The minimalist layout mirrors the movie’s clean, period‑authentic aesthetic, while the stark typography of the title emphasizes the central rivalry that defined the 1966 Le Mans story. Rather than showcasing action, the poster leans into mood and partnership, highlighting the human drama behind Ford’s quest to dethrone Ferrari and signaling a film grounded in craftsmanship, tension, and the mythology of endurance racing.
