This poster features the Mercedes‑Benz 280 SL (Foreground), built from 1968 to 1971, which is the final and most refined version of the W113 “Pagoda” series, named for its subtly concave hardtop roof. Introduced in late 1967 as a replacement for the 250 SL, the 280 SL retained the same elegant Paul Bracq styling but gained a more powerful 2.8‑liter M130 inline‑six, producing 170 hp and offering noticeably improved torque and drivability. In the background is the Mercedes‑Benz 300 SL, produced from 1954 to 1963, is one of the most iconic sports cars ever built, famous for its dramatic gullwing doors and advanced engineering. It was derived from the successful W194 racing car and featured a lightweight spaceframe chassis that necessitated its distinctive upward‑opening doors. Its 3.0‑liter fuel‑injected straight‑six made it the fastest production car of its era, capable of reaching up to 263 km/h, a remarkable achievement for the 1950s. This photo is meant to display two of Mercedes Benz's most successful grand touring designs.Collection
