Scope and Content

This vibrant poster for the 1985 Beatrice Indy Challenge at Tamiami Park, Miami, Florida. It was held on November 9 and captured the high-octane spirit of the CART season finale. Designed by artist Martin Kalbfleisch, it features a stylized racing helmet with a reflected Indy car. The event was a dramatic showdown, with Danny Sullivan taking the win and Al Unser clinching the championship by a single point over his son, Al Unser Jr., making him the oldest IndyCar champion at age 46. The poster’s bold colors and dynamic composition reflect the adrenaline and spectacle of this historic race.
