This poster shows an Alfa Romeo 33.3 prototype racing through the iconic Caracciola-Karussell corner of the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The 1971 Alfa Romeo 33/3 was a sports prototype race car developed by Autodelta, Alfa Romeo’s racing division, to compete in the World Sportscar Championship. Powered by a 3.0‑liter V8 engine producing around 420 horsepower, the 33/3 featured a lightweight tubular chassis and sleek bodywork designed for endurance racing. It achieved notable success in 1971, winning prestigious events such as the Targa Florio, the Watkins Glen 6 Hours, and the Brands Hatch 1000 km, often driven by legends like Nanni Galli, Toine Hezemans, Andrea de Adamich, and Rolf Stommelen. Though it faced fierce competition from Ferrari and Porsche, the 33/3 established Alfa Romeo as a serious contender in prototype racing, laying the groundwork for later dominance with the 33 TT12 in the mid‑1970s.Collection
