The poster shows a 1967/8 Alfa Romeo 33.2 Spider Targa Florio in motion.
The Alfa Romeo 33.2 Spider “Targa Florio” was a sports prototype built by Autodelta in 1967 specifically to contest the legendary Sicilian road race. Based on the Tipo 33 chassis, it was powered by a 2.0‑liter V8 engine producing around 270 horsepower, and featured lightweight open‑top bodywork designed for agility on the tight, twisting mountain roads of the Targa Florio. The car marked Alfa Romeo’s return to international endurance racing, and although it faced fierce competition from Porsche and Ferrari, the 33.2 Spider demonstrated impressive speed and handling, laying the foundation for later evolutions of the Tipo 33 series. Its participation in the Targa Florio helped reestablish Alfa Romeo’s racing pedigree and set the stage for the marque’s successes in the early 1970s.Collection
