Sister Blandine Murphy, CCVI was born on March 3, 1916 in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (CCVI) in Dunmore, Ireland in 1935, three years after her sister, Sr. Juliann Murphy, CCVI (1914 – 1993). She took her first vows in 1938 and made her final profession in 1943. Sister spent her early years in the Congregation serving as a Sacristan at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital and the CCVI Motherhouse. She returned to the Convent in Dunmore as a Sacristan from 1951 to 1953. In 1979, Sister established a ministry to care for the elderly of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in El Paso, Texas.
Sister retired to San Antonio in 1985 and volunteered at ReBarn Center for Spirituality and the Arts, a spiritual art center run by the CCVI Sisters, from its inception in 1991. Her sister, Sr. Juliann, also volunteered at ReBarn until her death in 1993. Sister Blandine passed away in San Antonio on December 18, 2002.Research Type

Sor Blandine Murphy, CCVI nació el 3 de marzo de 1916 en Mullingar, Condado de Westmeath, Irlanda.
