Title [assigned by archives]: Chapel of the Incarnate Word Needlepoint Sister Nadine Luebbert, CCVI (1929 – 2020) created this needlepoint artwork of the Chapel of the Incarnate Word by threading yarn through a mesh plastic canvas. The work depicts the bell tower of the Chapel, complete with its sculpted angels and crosses, rising into the sky among the clouds. Sister Nadine likely made several of these needlepoints, as there are photos of different variants of this work. Sister Nadine Luebbert, CCVI was born on November 20, 1929 in Brinktown, Missouri. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in 1947, took her first vows in 1950, and made her final profession in 1955. She spent most of her life serving as an elementary educator and school principal in schools across Texas, Missouri, and Illinois. She received her M.A. in Religious Studies from Incarnate Word College in 1978 and served as a Pastoral Minister at St. Theresa’s Care center in St. Louis from 1993 to 1996. Sister Nadine retired to San Antonio in 1996 and volunteered in the gift shop at the Incarnate Word Retirement Community until 2011. Sister Nadine had a passion for CCVI history and served on the Congregation's Heritage Committee. Between 1982 and 1990, she wrote numerous heritage articles for the CCVI Communique newsletter. In 1997, she published a compilation of these articles entitled, "Heritage Corner / Treasured Tidbits." and passed away on December 8, 2020.

Sor Nadine Luebbert, CCVI nació el 20 de noviembre de 1929 en Brinktown, Missouri. Ingresó en la Congregación de las Hermanas de la Caridad del Verbo Encarnado en 1947, emitió sus primeros votos en 1950 e hizo su profesión perpetua en 1955. Pasó la mayor parte de su vida trabajando como educadora primaria y directora de escuela en Texas, Missouri e Illinois. Recibió su Maestría en Estudios Religiosos del Colegio del Verbo Encarnado en 1978 y sirvió como Ministra Pastoral en el Centro de Cuidado Santa Teresa en San Luis de 1993 a 1996. Sor Nadine se retiró a San Antonio en 1996 y trabajó como voluntaria en la tienda de regalos de la Comunidad de Jubilados del Verbo Encarnado hasta 2011. Sor Nadine tenía una pasión por la historia de CCVI y sirvió en el Comité de Patrimonio de la Congregación. Entre 1982 y 1990, escribió numerosos artículos sobre el patrimonio para el boletín CCVI Communique.
