Sister Joseph Michael Schwind, CCVI (1911 – 1995) depicted Mary as a child, kneeling and receiving the message from the Holy Spirit that she will be the mother of Christ. Sister Joseph Michael was born on May 9, 1911 in Perry, New York. She entered the Congregation in 1927, took her first vows in 1929, and made her final profession in 1935. She missioned in numerous schools—primarily as a music teacher—across Texas, Missouri, and Louisiana until her departure from CCVI in 1969. She passed away in Amarillo on September 28, 1995 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas.
