Title [assigned by archives]: CHRISTUS Spohn Cross The CHRISTUS Spohn Health System presented Sister Margaret Mannion, CCVI (1932 - 2025) with this cross at a "Fond Farewell" service celebrating her ministry and retirement on November 16, 2012. Aloe Tile Works of Corpus Christi, Texas custom made this glazed relief cross out of red clay. At the top, the CHRISTUS Health logo rises above stylized waves, a tribute to Sister Margaret’s two decades of service to CHRISTUS Spohn in the coastal city of Corpus Christi. The center features the emblem of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, while the arms and base of the cross depict biblical figures. The piece is shaped as a Celtic cross, distinguished by the ring encircling its intersection, to honor Sister Margaret’s birthplace of Ireland. Sister Margaret Mary Mannion, CCVI was born on November 27, 1932 in County Mayo, Ireland. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (CCVI) in 1955, took her first vows in 1959, and made her final profession in 1964. She received her B.A. in Sociology from Incarnate Word College and her M.A. in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. Sr. Margaret spent most of her career with CHRISTUS Spohn in Corpus Christi, Texas, first working at their Shoreline Hospital as a Social Worker from 1982 to 1989. She then worked for the Spohn Health System as Mission Services Coordinator from 1999 until her retirement in 2012. Sr. Margaret passed away on September 4, 2025.

La hermana Margaret Mary Mannion, CCVI, nació el 27 de noviembre de 1932 en el condado de Mayo, Irlanda.
