Description

Title of artifacts [assigned by archives]: Stained Glass Windows These stained-glass windows came from the Our Lady of Visitation Chapel in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paris, Texas. They were likely created around 1914, the year of the Chapel’s opening. One window depicts Jesus as the Incarnate Word, while the other showcases floral geometric patterns. Panes of burgundy, green, orange, and dark blue stained glass are leaded together to make each window. Both windows were found in the basement of the Motherhouse Chapel of the Incarnate Word. They were likely given to the Congregation after the Chapel at St. Joseph's was razed in 1976. The windows were repaired by Black’s Art Glass in San Antonio, Texas and installed in the Heritage Center of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in February 2018. ------- Título de los objetos [asignado por el archivo]: Vidrieras Estas vidrieras proceden de la capilla de Nuestra Señora de la Visitación del Hospital San José de París, Texas. Probablemente se crearon alrededor de 1914, año de la inauguración de la capilla.
